The Tahquitz collection celebrates the fun of midcentury modernism by reflecting the more graphic trends of this period incorporating squares and rectangular shapes connected by lines. The colors in this collection are taken from the desert but with a nod to the past, and include orange, lemongrass, turquoise blue and yellow. The bright colors and graphic design bring to life midcentury design, Hal and David Glass Art style!
The Tahquitz collection is named after the Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood of Palm Springs. Although the neighborhood started with small Spanish revival homes in the 1930s it quickly expanded in the 1950s to become what is considered today a haven of classic mid-century design. And the pronunciation? Well the locals in Palm Springs pronounce Tahquitz as Tar-quits!
