This beautiful bowl with a design of small rainbow-coloured squares makes a beautiful and captivating table centre piece. As the light passes through the bowl casting its colourful shadow it is bound to be the centre of conversation.
Made from two layers of hand-cut coloured-glass squares, slightly offset to each other, this bowl starts life as a square. After the first firing it is cut into a circle and cold-worked before going into the kiln a final time to form into the mould. The piece is then cold-worked again to produce the soft matt finish to the rim and soft edges. The underneath side of the bowl has not been cold-worked and retains the texture from the mould.
