This Araby collection square platter is created with two layers of square pieces of glass. Upto 10 different colours are used to make these platters.
This platter can be used for serving side salads, small appetizers, savories, desserts or any of your other favorite treats.
The platter measures approx. 25cm x 25cm, (10" x 10")
Each platter is made from individually hand-cut pieces of glass that are layered on a single base piece of glass. The assembled glass pieces are then kiln-fused up to a temperature of 1450F to create a single piece of glass. Once cool, the piece is then placed on a mold and in the kiln for a second time up to a temperature of 1225F that softens the glass to the shape of the mold. The entire process can take up to 72 hours.
This platter is food safe however, do not place the glass in a microwave or a dishwasher as this will dull the glass, hand wash only with mild soap solution.
