Random layers of thick-cut and shaped coloured glass are arranged to create a flowing, ripple effect that reflects the light in this captivating wall panel. Its texture invites you to touch and interact with the glass, to feel the the melded shapes and softness of the flow. The changing light of the day casts a dazzle of colours that seem to dance in a way that brings both light and movement to the piece. Almost like a ripple in light!
The panel is made from layers of fused glass, which are made from many separate coloured pieces that are first melted together to create a large multi-coloured sheet of thick glass. This first step creates a thicker form of glass with complex layers of colors within it that give depth and dimension. This sheet is then hand cut and broken to optimize desirable patterns within the glass that then form the layers in the final panel. Each panel has a hand-cut piece of mirrored glass attached behind to reflect the light back at the viewer.
Each panel is unique and measures approx. 10cm x 33cm, (4"x13") and comes with four stand-offs for mounting to a wall.
