Small Plate, Araby, Large Squares, Blue & Yellow

The large squares Araby plate is created with layers of square pieces of glass.  In this special edition we use only two colours, Blue and Yellow.

This plate can be used for side salads, small appetisers, savouries, desserts or any of your other favourite treats.

The plate measures approx. 12.5cm x 12.5cm, (5" x 5")

Each plate is made from individually hand-cut pieces of glass that are layered on a single base piece of glass.  The assembled glass pieces are then kiln-fused up to a temperature of 1400F to create a single piece of glass with a textured feel.  Once cool, the piece is then placed on a mould and in the kiln for a second time up to a temperature of 1225F that softens the glass to the shape of the mould.  The entire process can take up to 72 hours.

This plate is made with decorative glass and does not contain lead. Do not place the plate in a microwave or a dishwasher as this will dull the glass, hand wash only with mild soap solution..
